I like this hair thingy from this wedding, an all-around beautiful wedding, which I'm pretty sure I've stolen photos from before, the flowers I think.

I think I want this dress! (Thanks to Lee for forwarding an email that featured it!)

I'm a little nervous about ordering a dress online, but returns are accepted. However, they're only accepted for 14 days, so I wouldn't be able to hang on to this for a while and see if I find something better. I would either have to go with it, or send it back. This makes me nervous because the wedding is still so far away, and what if I find something I like even more in six months from now? But then again, I might regret not buying this while it's available.

There are likely some alterations that would need to be done:

I would have the lining at the neckline altered so that it doesn't show, so there's just the deep V of lace.

The lining is shorter than the length of the dress, so unless it turns out I like it that way, I would have the lining lengthened. Maybe all new lining put in, something a little nicer than jersey. I'm not a seamstress, but these seem like fairly simple alterations.

What do you guys think? Am I jumping the gun? Am I robbing myself of the experience of going dress shopping?

Like the photo garland we have in our house, we could hang some through out the brewery so people can walk around thinking how cute (vain) we are.

Stones as place settings: Cool or cheesy?

Just another example of antique bottles as flower vases.

I really, really like this chicken wire and wood frame to display the place settings. It looks so pretty with the vines and flowers cascading over it. Who can build it for me?

I also just had this idea to start searching for vintage playing cards with pretty designs on the back for the place settings or table numbers. The face side of the card would have a piece of pretty paper glued over it with the name or number on it. Or maybe vintage postcards? I know they are plentiful at antique stores.

I love this bouquet.

I want to go to David's Bridal and try on these two dresses in Vera Wang's "cheaper" line White. Mom, if our forces combine, I think they're within budget.

BHLDN dresses, like the lovely one below, will never be within budget, unfortunately.

I wish this was less complicated, because a simpler, more symmetrical version of this dress would be basically ideal.
