THIS is the most amazing wedding photography ever!
Ignore the lamps and balloons; I like the hanging hearts made from maps/atlas pages.

I like the mismatched frames with pictures of us in them, although I doubt we'd be able to hang them on the wall of the Lakefront, so maybe we could prop them on tables. I also like the variety of cakes!

Ignore the stupid bird house; I like the middle picture with the brown and blue bottles and wispy wild flowers.

Paper flowers from old books! I also like how pretty simple filler flowers look in a clear jar vase.
I think I'm getting a little scattered with my reception decor ideas.

These dresses from HERE are so perfect (especially the last one) that I'm dead now.
And yes, they are way out of price range.

I love how sweet and intimate this ceremony looks. I like how the bride is escorted by her mother and father, and how the bride and groom are enveloped by the people around them. And, I wonder if I know anyone who can play violin and walk at the same time.........

Two dresses I like from Saja. I'm sure they cost a million dollars.

Vera Wang has a new, more affordable line of wedding dresses called White. I don't really like any of the dresses that much, but maybe she'll come out with a new collection for next year.

It's the Little Things

Shaun and I have started a Honeymoon Fund. It's all spare change. We have just over a year to save up, and the prospects are really uplifting!

So far, from the coins in my wallet and pockets (and that of my coworkers, who were kind enough to donate to the cause), we've got $7.49! And that's not even including the jar of coinage at home, which I will count this afternoon.

***Update***

We're up to $44.92 (after adding in all the change we had at home!)

Hopefully, with a tangible goal to focus on, we'll be able to save something like a grand over the next 13 months, just from spare change. It's amazing to think about how seemingly easy it would be to just put aside $20 a week, adding up to over $1000 at year's end, but how insanely difficult that actually is. Well, at least for me. I too often succomb to instant gratification.

So, wish me luck....and feel free to save your pennies for us! ;)

An atlas as our guest book. People can write us a note on any part of the planet! Love this idea.

Books on the table to create levels? Kinda like this idea.

Queen Anne's lace in brown bottles! Love this idea.

I like the idea of having a slide show of photos projected, not as a forced thing where everyone has to shut up and watch it, but just having it run through out the dancing portion of the evening as a backdrop. And it wouldn't have to be photos of just Shaun and I, but any photos we like...Borrowing a page from Alice's book, maybe we could include wedding photos from people in our family in the slide show.

I think we should send out Save The Date cards since we know the actual date now. What do you think?
